Level Design
Prison Break
Prison Break is a multiplayer control map for Lyra I created for my Level Design class at Champlain College. The level is structurally built around three distinct capture points to encourage active player movement and engagement.
This map was a true introduction to level design and documentation, and it was a fantastic learning experience! I drew heavy inspiration from the Call of Duty: Black Ops II map, "Alcatraz". My map shares a very similar layout to the real-world documentation of Alcatraz, a comparison I break down deeply in my LDD.
More than anything, it was special to place myself in the eyes of the player and try to craft a fun, interesting, and visually appealing experience. If I were to revisit this assignment, I would definitely try to integrate better environmental assets for the prison and rework the spawn points slightly to make them more dynamic.
